How much do I like Starbucks’ new VIA soluble (like instant, but mixable hot or cold) coffee? I got a chance to try it last week, and I made myself a cup this morning. I’m partial to the Columbia, as I mentioned over at Shelterrific (where I am giving away my swag bag and now I’m wondering if I should have been so hasty since I really like the coffee…ah, well). The event itself was very fun — add me to your mailing list, Starbucks! — so here are a few more photos.

A Starbucks PR employee who was just lovely and I am blanking on her name (drat! I’ll find it) and photo stylist Michelle Cristalli.

The interior of Boat Street Cafe. I really liked this place.

Starbucks US President Cliff Burrows and local marketing director Shannon Donohue. I sat across from her at lunch and she was very fun to talk to — she’s a Georgetown pioneer! Cliff was quite personable as well. They really seemed to care about their product.

Siiri Sampson, project manager for Extra Mile Marketing. She was lovely as well. They asked us to smell the coffee before we tried it — because, you know, it smelled like coffee.

Also from Extra Mile Marketing: Lori Stutsman, founder and senior consultant. I really need to find my cards… I was lucky to sit next to such great people. Including Megan, of course!
Man – Are they selling this in Airport locations? I’m heading through the US on my way to Mexico this weekend. I’m not stopping off – just heading back to India. This would be PERFECT for having in the office here!
Unfortunately, they’re only doing a limited release started March 3, but Chicago is one of the cities, so if you go through there or Seattle, maybe. It’s being released in the UK too and that’s it for now — odd, huh? But you can buy it online starting then, too.
how super groovy! by the way, i’m convinced starbucks tastes even better in seattle. so do the cupcakes.
